Judging by the work that has been done can you blame them though? If somebody else wanted to do such a project it would be NP.

Yes I can, because they want ~$100k for something that is miles away from being complete. All the pieces the car is in right now might have been well put together and restored, but a pile of parts is still a pile of parts. How much more time and money do we need to finish this? $50k? $75k? You’re better off with a pre-owned rolls at this point.

The type of person that would want this crazy contraption wants something different and clearly has the money to do it. Craftsmanship isn't cheap. I'm not saying that it is a wise purchase I'm just saying their price may be justified.
